Tracker Mentoring Newsletter

The Tracker Mentoring Newsletter is based on the concept of the “ten-minute walk,” which is Daily Routine #10 in the Tracker Mentoring Manual for our first course, Introduction to Tracking in Southern Africa. The ten-minute walk is a universal concept and should be practiced wherever you are.

Our Newsletter won’t come out every day, but, when it does, you’ll receive short notes and links to videos as we document tracking techniques, and the tracks, signs, trails, and behaviours of different species, some of them never documented before.

We’ll also include any announcements for upcoming training programs and CyberTracker evaluations.

Use the Search Bar, the Categories list, or the Tags word cloud to search for specific topics. For example, search on “leech tracks,” or use the category “South Africa” or the tag, “spotted towhee.” Check this space often, as we will continually be adding to it.

Testimonials

“I first met Kersey and Lee in the fall of 2017. Since then, the changes to my perception and understanding of tracking have never been the same. These two kind and professional people showed me that not only is it possible to follow animal trails in any conditions, but that you can learn it and do it on your own. I have learned a ton from these two people, both about trailing and about myself.”

Blake Samuel Southard, Owner of North Winds Wilderness School, Siren, WI., USA, and participant in wildlife trailing workshops and evaluations in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and a CyberTracker Tracker 2.
