It’s finally here! We’ve received the first 30 printed copies of The Tracker Mentoring Manual for Course 1 – Introduction to Tracking in Southern Africa from our publishers in Cape Town. Of course, as with most publications, we always find little errors to fix, but overall we are pretty pleased.
It’s a little different from the one you downloaded in the eLearning centre on the TrackerMentoring.com website, in that it contains ALL of the text, AND all 30 of the Assignments, AND all 10 of the Daily Routines. No need to download them separately! So, if you are like me and prefer a small, hardbound book with everything in it to take into the field, this is your answer! And… it comes with a free Tracker Mentoring ruler.
Sorry, but we are still unable to ship outside South Africa, but we have built the cost of shipping from PostNet to PostNet into the price of The Tracker Mentoring Manual, at R450.01. For those of you abroad, we will just need to come visit you and hand-carry a few copies!
Of course, you don’t need a printed copy, as all of the course content is available in the eLearning Centre, and a printed copy is not required. It just might be nice to have.
… and even though the title includes “Introduction to Tracking in Southern Africa,” I just want to remind you that this course could be done anywhere because it’s more about the process than the specifics of tracking. It teaches you the habits of a successful tracker, and there are lots of examples and details about tracking in Southern Africa that can be extrapolated to other regions and countries.
“Famba landza nkonzo” (Xitsonga, the Shangaan language of South Africa) = “Let’s go tracking” (English).
